How did you start?

What do you do to keep people energized and motivated?

How do we keep focused for the long haul?

How do you grow your group?

1. Get and stay involved in local politics.

2. Get members to present new ideas for action and ask them to give lead those groups

3. Advertise where you can , when you can so people can find you

4. You can directly affect local politics if you are involved with City Council mtgs, etc

5. Learn to delegate jobs in the groups, we need to build more leaders

6. Membership has the ownership of the group

7. Meet once a week

8. Bumper stickers with their phone number that gives them all the info on meetings.

9. Be FOR something not just AGAINST something, keep it positive

10. Make sure people can fund out through your phone number

11. Outgoing message on voicemail has meeting info or group info

12. SFV has done Revere Rides a couple of times now, where they get cars decorated and ride a specific route to bring awareness to their group or event

13. Learn rules for city /town halls or meetings so you can adjust signage to deal with that before you go.

14. Get back to people within 48 hrs when they leave a message

15. See if you can get candidates to debate with a new format, a quick fire format, with the groups asking the questions

16. Lending library in groups for video materials so all members may educate themselves and their families.

17. Think outside the box for meeting locations such as Denny's may give you a big, private room if you buy food and drinks

18. Join socializing ad action together for meetings for those in the more urban areas

19. Network with other groups in your area. Share responsibility for events.

20. Have business cards made so you can hand them out when people are interested no matter where you are.

21. Educate, educate, educate

22. Utilize each members innate talents whether that is making phone calls or writing editorials, whatever they feel they are good at plug them into that position.

23. Know your audience and what works for them, what keeps your membership active and engaged.

24. Utilize meet up groups on the internet such as meetup.com

25. Use different color names tags so you can discern new people at meetings

26. Have an orientation for new people separate from your regular meetings.

27. Sam Paredes does a training in Confrontational Politics for groups, he does this for free. www.teapartyvideo.net

28. Keep the Board association on the down low as it's about the whole group not just the Board

29. Action groups rather than committees because items die in committees rather than focus on action. The people in the action groups take the lead on their projects. This builds leadership in many rather than few.

30. Group members visit local businesses and get to know them

31. Each leader has a leadership team and they meet as is necessary and when they can sometimes twice a month.

32. Joint leader meetings amongst neighboring groups

33. Promote each other's groups and share the buying of concession products such as t-shirts etc

34. Wear tea party shirts to promote groups.

35. See if you can meet at churches and talk to pastors to get the churches involved

36. Have How To Guides for each successful event whether it's planning an event or town hall or some other project

P.S. Have computer files for the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution too if anyone wants.

Barack Obama is flying around the country endorsing
Democrats and campaigning with a rehashed message
of "hope." Although this theme worked for him two
years ago, Americans are fast losing any remaining
confidence they may have had in his leadership.
See my very important message below - Mat.

christi,

There is growing, widespread distrust among Americans toward
President Obama and his radical ideological basis for "change."

Nile Gardner, in his recent article titled, "10 Reasons why
the Obama Presidency is in Meltdown," offered the following
assessment:

"The last few weeks have been a nightmare for
President Obama. It's a summer of discontent in
the United States which has deeply unsettled
the ruling liberal elites, so much so that even
the Left has begun to turn against the White House."

"While conservatism in America grows stronger by
the day, the forces of liberalism are growing
increasingly weaker and divided."

"Against this backdrop, the president's approval
ratings have been sliding dramatically all summer,
with the latest Rasmussen Daily Presidential
Tracking Poll of US Voters dropping to minus 22
points, the lowest point so far for Barack Obama
since taking office. While just 24 percent of
American voters strongly approve of the president's
job performance, almost twice that number, 46 per
cent, strongly disapprove. According to Rasmussen,
65 percent of voters believe the United States
is going down the wrong track, including 70
percent of independents."

++Barack Obama: An Emperor with no clothes.

There are many reasons behind the political implosion of the
Obama presidency. Americans are increasingly rejecting Obama's
non-specific campaign of "change," as it has now been revealed
that he has a radical socialist agenda.

Americans have watched in disgust as backroom deals, bribery,
manipulation, and the President's imperialistic style of
leadership have forced unconstitutional mandates and unwanted
legislation down our collective throats.

Among the causes of deep resentment being held against Obama
by many conservative, freedom-loving Americans:

*Failed fiscal policies, including multiple stimuli,
bail-outs, TARPs and takeovers
*High unemployment that continues unabated
*Wealth redistribution and regressive tax polices
*Massive government expansion
*Out-of-control spending
*Shadow government of unvetted czars
*Subverting of our Constitution
*Slavish catering to radical special interest groups
*Disastrous foreign policy weakening America's
worldwide position and status
*Undermining core values of American culture
*Destabilizing of our military
*Liberalizing of our courts
*Ineffective immigration policy
*Condescending Leftist elitism

Many Americans now believe that Barack Obama's elitist
philosophies have left him sorely out of touch with
grassroots citizens. Americans have lost faith in his
ability to make decisions that are good for America. In
essence, we no longer have confidence in his leadership
or ability to effectively serve as President of The United
States of America.

++"Vote of No Confidence" campaign gets underway.

Liberty Counsel has launched a powerful new campaign proclaiming
a "Vote of No Confidence" in President Obama and his leadership.
This effort reflects the nation's growing disillusionment with
his imperious, condescending style and inability to properly
serve America's citizenry.

This campaign also serves as a compelling "call to action" to
derail his radical socialist agenda. In Parliamentary procedure,
a "Vote of No Confidence" is generally followed by a call for
